New ventures…

Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It’s the courage to continue that counts.
— Winston Churchiil

As somebody who has long struggled with the concept of failing, it feels fitting to remind myself of that quote now, as I embark on a new journey. Sometimes I have a stowaway on board - that classic question of ‘am I ready for this?’

To the fellow overthinkers and perfectionists out there - the idea of being ‘ready’ is idealistic. As much as we can prepare ourselves, no one is truly, 100% ready for anything. Life isn’t a game to win or a test to ace.  It’s a journey – it’s about the willingness to learn, adapt, and move forward. Sometimes, it’s simply about surrender.

So here I am, taking first steps - qualified as a coach and studying to be a psychotherapist. Throughout my teens and early twenties, I experienced a panic disorder with a sprinkle of OCD. It took me several years to feel comfortable enough to seek support, so I understand how intimidating it can be.

Coaching changed the game for me. It helped me identify what was holding me back, untangle my thoughts and learn things about myself that would have taken me years to realise otherwise. My own coach supported (and sometimes challenged) me to pull myself out of the hole I’d found myself in. While I did this for myself, coaching gave me the leg up I needed. I’m in a very different place to where I was even a few years ago.

That experience ignited a passion to help other women navigate this potentially anxious and confusing time in their lives. So far I’ve been lucky enough to work with a number of strong, inspiring women on personal development, building mental resilience and taking action towards positive change. I truly believe in the power of coaching, and I’m excited to see where this journey goes.
